The Project

[Project] MOJO will consolidate all technology processes for the operations departments into one system.  Over the course of several years, the implementation of this system will replace key applications and add an extensive amount of operational functionality.  We will have greater access to data and analysis, allow departments to share valuable information, and have a central solution of reports and documents.

MOJO will utilize the powerful processing and flexibility of the facilities management software, Archibus.  Archibus is comprised of a core database that will store all the District’s baseline data and allow us to add modules that will expand our capabilities.  The software has proven itself in many large organizations and it’s ability to be configured and customized to the clients requirements has allowed the District to mold the software to our needs.

MOJO is the name of the project that will encompass the implementation of Archibus, the development of office procedures and policies, provide technology and user support, engage outside resources, and administer to all future changes and upgrades.

MOJO has started with the implementation of a new work request system. We are also currently working to integrate all the data being collected for the Facilities Condition Assessment. Then, starting this Fall, MOJO will begin to incorporate Capital Programs, Environmental, and hopefully Facilities Usage. From there, we will be adding functionality for Grade and Space Planning, violations, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), portfolio management, and many other needs, such as building drawings.

Our goal is to make Operations great. Through centralization and collaboration we will build a tool that will become the cornerstone of Operations. A foundation that will allow us to optimize our workforce and the ability to do more with less.
